Owner of Kay Stout Leadership Consulting
I’m a former executive director for several Oklahoma nonprofits and an award-winning career coach.
Kay Stout is a seasoned executive with more than 30 years of experience in the corporate and nonprofit worlds. She has successfully managed the growth of two nonprofits and established the corporate presence for three consulting firms. Most recently Kay was the Executive Director of the Peaceful Animal Adoption Shelter (PAAS).
PAAS is a regional transfer hub and spay/neuter clinic. Opened in 2015, in rural Oklahoma, PAAS has transported more than 6,000 Oklahoma shelter dogs to a new home in Colorado and oversees spay/neuter clinic operations in northeast Oklahoma. To date, 4,000+ pets have been “fixed”.
The Heartland-Emmy nominated documentary, “The Dogs of Lexington,” featured her work with shelter dogs and prisoners. Corporate experience includes extensive program development and implementation of outplacement consulting for professionals who find themselves in the “job market” following a merger/acquisition.
Awards include the “Thanks Badge” for her work with Girl Scouts; the HSUS Pets for Life Campsite award; Right Associates Gold Hammer Award for the Oklahoma City office revenue and client growth and the Vinita Chamber of Commerce Civic Award.
Kay has served on the boards of the YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City, the Oklahoma Manufacturers’ Association, Dale Rogers Training Center, Oklahoma City Public Schools and the Oklahoma State Chamber Prosperity Project. She also hosted “Your Career Connection” on the Oklahoma City radio station KTOK. She attended the University of Wyoming on a music scholarship.
