Established “Rescue Hub ” in northeast Oklahoma, for shelter dogs from 15 municipal shelters. Dog and cat rescue shelter/transfer facility in northeastern Oklahoma. During Kay’s tenure, more than 6,000 dogs found their forever homes in Colorado. Major thanks to Dumb Friends League. The goal was a sustainable 90% live release rate for the municipal pound in Vinita, Oklahoma, and for rural partners shelters. Programs include low-cost spay/neuter clinics with more than 5,000 fixed in Dec. 2020.Programs included: Pet Overpopulation (POP), HSUS Pets for Life in Vinita and Tahlequah, Oklahoma. - Video – Kay’s “Pets for Life” interview.

Kay Stout was presented with the Sales & Marketing Executives International, Inc. Ken Arbuckle Fellow Award in 2004 for her work as the liaison with the Oklahoma Governor’s Mansion staff for its annual awards dinner at the mansion.
Stout was presented with the award by Global Business Celebrity and Author Jeffrey Hayzlett, LinkedIn chair and CEO of the C-Suite Network and host of the C-Suite TV.
The Ken Arbuckle Fellow Award recognizes individuals who make significant contributions to SMEI.
